By accessing or using Screency's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. Screency provides a whiteboard recording and video script creation platform designed for content creators.
2. Service Description
Screency provides a platform that enables creators to: record whiteboard presentations with webcam overlay; write, edit, and manage video scripts; use AI-powered tools to optimize and refine scripts; collaborate within organizations and teams; and manage subscription plans for premium features.
3. Account Responsibilities
When you create an account with Screency, you agree to: provide accurate and complete registration information; maintain the security of your account credentials; be responsible for all activities that occur under your account; notify us immediately of any unauthorized access; and not share your account with unauthorized parties.
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create using Screency, including whiteboard recordings, video scripts, and any other materials. By using our service, you grant Screency a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Screency services to: violate any applicable laws or regulations; create or distribute harmful, illegal, or offensive content; infringe on intellectual property rights of others; attempt to circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions; interfere with or disrupt the service infrastructure; reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our software; or use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from our platform.
6. AI-Powered Features
Screency offers AI-powered script optimization features. When using these features: your content is sent to third-party AI providers for processing; AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is without guarantee of accuracy; you are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before use; AI features are subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan.
7. Subscription and Payment
Screency offers free and paid subscription plans. For paid plans: subscriptions are billed according to the selected billing cycle; you must maintain a valid payment method on file; we may change pricing with 30 days advance notice; refunds are handled according to applicable law; downgrading your plan may result in loss of access to premium features.
8. Organizations and Teams
If you create or join an organization on Screency: the organization owner manages membership and settings; content created within an organization may be accessible to other members based on permissions; leaving an organization does not transfer ownership of content you created; organization billing is the responsibility of the organization owner.
9. Intellectual Property
Screency and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Screency and are protected by intellectual property laws. Our service name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Screency. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.
10. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party service providers, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our control.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screency shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination: your right to use the service ceases immediately; we will retain your data for 30 days to allow for recovery; after 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted unless retention is required by law.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the service. Your continued use of Screency after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, unless otherwise required by local law.
